To start off, I apologize that my entries aren't as professional as the rest of yours seem to be. This one's just food for thought. On the other hand, if you DO have answers for some of these, I really would like to know. I don't ask questions that I don't want to know answers to.
Have you seen the infomercial where a rather slim Carnie Wilson "interviews" two sisters about their book of household remedies? If this book is so great that it can cure things from bad breath to cloudy toenails, why does one sister have teeth like indian corn?
Has anybody put serious thought and research into making a cleaner, more efficient, and overall better fuel for existing vehicles?
After some good sex (yes, it does happen), I can't do the whole cuddle thing immediately afterwards because I get terribly thirsty and NEED a drink. Does that happen to anyone else?
What ever happened to living your life based on respect and honor?
Is no one going to take Apophis seriously?
How does a self-centered dimwit like Tyra Banks get a talk show? I doubt she can even put a sentence together coherently without cue cards and a script. Sure, she's hot, and tv loves hot chicks, but she's a fucking MODEL! That alone was her job! That was fine, until she got to open her mouth in a non-seductive way to make herself look like a good person. Look, we have no reason to think she's a baby-eating, dog-torturing, crank-fiending bulemic. Giving racists a stern talking to or throwing a makeover at suicidal girls does NOTHING. Can we vote her off the air?
Why does this feel yellow?
It's not religion in general I loathe. It used to be about respecting the planet and our ability to sustain the things we care about, using general words like "gods" to describe what we saw. When Constantine changed Christianity (along with countless others to older religions in previous millenia) to be about paying homage to a deity through the profit of the few and slavery of the masses, they personified forces of nature and used it to claim ownership of the world, using it at every chance as an excuse for their destructive, illogical, and completely fucked up actions.... They're bringing life on Earth to an end, and there aren't enough of us (in general AND in charge) to put a stop to them. Drastic measures must be taken, but everyone's afraid. EVERYONE. Religion is also used as an excuse for genocide. In fact, as far as I know, it's been the ONLY reason for EVERY genocide that's ever occured in human history. Also, there have been a virtually limitless number of belief systems in the past that ceased to exist, so why should we believe that today's systems include a right one?
Does this smell sarcastic to you?
Why does no one revolt in this country? Are we afraid of something? What do we have to lose? Freedom? Yeah, right.
In this space, I was going to put up an idea I had to make something cool, but I don't want anybody stealing said idea. Just letting you know it would've gone here.
How come you can buy 400 sheets of paper for less than $3, but if you throw in two binded pieces of cardboard to either side, you can charge $40 for half as much?
Who will be the next person to change the world? It better not be someone who's still a child or yet to be born. They're fucked. We need it SOON.
The major problem with democracy: Whoever said the majority is right? Or even usually right? A good slice of Earth's population are utter morons and, thanks to politics, they get to choose how the world is led. No one ever said "the majority knows best." Except me, just now. Majorities know what they're told, and for the most part, do not independently learn their facts from intelligent sources.
Why does this taste like rabies?
If trees need to absorb so much light, how come more trees don't have fucking MONSTROUS leaves?
How is it that only expensive things (like houses, children, and cars) need constant, costly maintainence?
Do you need a new brain filter installed? Do you experience things that seem like near-daily epiphanies? Perfect statements that could end any arguement once and for all? Beautiful works of art that would last centuries in the collective consciousness? You can't express them, can you? They just end up coming out as half-hearted attempts at mediocre doodles or incomprehensible babble, right? We need more ways to free the ideas locked up inside us all. Then the world may finally have a chance to be a beautiful place.
